# Why can't I see any of my historical data past 37 months?

> Learn why Campaign Manager limits history to 37 months and what you can do about it.

Most ad platforms only allow API access to roughly the last three years (37 months) of data. Stiddle respects those platform rules so reporting stays compliant.

## Why the limit exists

* **Platform retention policies** – Meta, Google, TikTok, and others purge or archive delivery data beyond 2–3 years.
* **API performance** – Large historical pulls slow down current reporting, so platforms enforce shorter windows.
* **Privacy regulations** – Long-term storage of user-level data requires additional consents that many advertisers don’t hold.

## Options if you need older data

3. **Request a platform archive** – some enterprise ad accounts can request archives directly from the platform, which you can then import to a data warehouse.

## Best practices going forward

* Keep attribution windows realistic so you are not relying on multi-year lookbacks.
* Document any business decisions tied to older data so newer teammates know where to find the archives.
